Scott Walter, Owner

Scott Walter knows construction. Born and raised on a farm in Northern Illinois, Scott moved to Chicago at age 18 and began working construction while earning an electronics degree from DeVry Institute of Technology. Since then, he has worked in the concrete and electronic fields, in masonry and as a government defense contractor.

"I’ve been in the construction industry a long time and have seen a lot of unique failures in a variety of situations,” he says. “It’s amazing how destructive time and Mother Nature can be. I love solving problems using advanced technical solutions. I guess you’d say I have a passion for what I do.”

In 1994, Scott went back to school and earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management. He was then hired as a project engineer for a Nashville company and later worked as a general manager for a foundation piering contractor before he and his wife, Debbie, started Vintage Construction.

"At Vintage Construction, we are committed to the structural repair and waterproofing business,” Scott explains. “ The most rewarding part is our clients’ satisfaction. It’s a great feeling to know they are confident that their home or office structure is safe, and their worries are gone.”
